The Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) and its affect on Medicare:
Hello, we wanted to touch base with you as we have been getting a lot of phone calls and inquiries about the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (aka Obama care) and it’s effect on Medicare. As many of you know, the Affordable Care Act will be implemented in January 2014.
The Affordable Care Act will have no immediate impact on individuals that are on Medicare!! You do not need to be concerned about making any changes or signing up for new or different coverage.
The Affordable Care Act enrollment period begins in October of this year. During this period, individuals that ARE NOT ON MEDICARE will have to select and enroll in an approved health care plan that will take effect on January 1, 2014.
There is going to be an increasing amount of advertisement and news about the Affordable Care Acts implementation in the coming months, and we wanted to let you know that there is nothing that you will need to do or be aware of as it relates to your Medicare coverage.
On a side note, if you have family or friends that will need to comply with the Affordable Care Act – we have been certified and are authorized to help individuals sort through their options and sign up for compliant coverage. We are happy to help those needing assistance.
We are committed to keeping you up to date and hope that you have a great day!
